Translate On-Device (“the App”) is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy describes how the App handles your information.
On-Device Processing
Translation in the App is performed entirely on your Mac. Your text is not sent to our servers or any third-party services for translation. All processing happens locally on your device.
Data We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Text you translate
- Personal information
- Usage analytics or diagnostics (unless you explicitly opt in via system or App Store settings)
Data That May Be Collected
If you obtain the App through the Mac App Store, Apple may collect information in accordance with its own privacy policy (e.g., purchase and account-related data). We do not receive or control that data. Any crash or usage data is subject to your choices in System Settings and App Store settings.
This Website
This website is static and hosted on GitHub Pages. We do not use cookies or tracking. Server logs may be kept by the hosting provider; we do not use them to identify or track you.
Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
